THE KNICKS ARE STILL FIGHTING

Last year the New York Knicks(32-43) capped off a late season, five game West coast swing in Utah with their biggest win of the year.  After losing four consecutive  games, Kurt Thomas inspired the Knicks to a 90-83 victory in Salt Lake City.  The win was the first of 13 consecutive, which locked up the Atlantic Division title for the Knicks.  This year the Knicks travel to Utah in the midst of a dog-fight with the Atlanta Hawks for the final playoff position in the East.

Raymond Felton's struggles have been well publicized this season.  Felton outplayed Trey Burke tonight, scoring 12 points, on 5-8 shooting from the field. The Knicks can be a dangerous team when Carmelo Anthony has help on the offensive end.

Carmelo's jumper with 2:00 remaining took the air out of Energy Solutions Arena.  The Knicks played with the killer instinct tonight they have been lacking all season.  This was only the second win for the Knicks when trailing at the half this season.  Carmelo lead the Knicks with 36 points, eight rebounds and three steals.  His commitment to defense and rebounding has become contagious of late.
