Mark Sanchez to the Eagles?

Mark Sanchez signing with the Philadelphia Eagles in a nut shell is a disaster waiting to happen.  Philadelphia has the most malicious fan base in the country.  These are the same fans that cheered when Michael Irvin suffered a broken neck before their eyes.  Or how about that famous Christmas when Eagles fans serenaded Santa Claus with a flurry of snowballs.  When it comes to being impatient, New York fans certainly get the nod.  Even Carmelo Anthony will hear some spattered boo's every now and again.  However, once the fans in the city of brotherly love turn on you things can get ugly in no time.

Sanchez has been poorly managed his entire career.  As a rookie starting Quarterback he threw for 12 touchdowns and 20 interceptions.  Throwing more picks than touchdown passes is a red flag no matter what stage of your career you're in.  That first year Sanchez benefited tremendously from his defense as well as a solid running game. The Jets snuck in the playoffs at 9-7 and made a miraculous run to the AFC Championship game.  People seem to have forgotten just how much Sanchez struggled his rookie season.

While at USC Sanchez only started under center for one year.  Pete Carroll advised Sanchez to return for his senior year.  He declined and was selected by the Jets with the fifth overall selection in the 2009 NFL Draft.

In high school and while playing at USC Sanchez has been able to get away with just being athletic.  During his short NFL career he has had different highs and lows.  Sanchez can certainly resurrect his career.  At times he has shown flashes of greatness.  Philadelphia just may not be the place for Sanchez to do so.
