Hardaway To U.S select team

Tim Hardaway Jr. Is young, energetic and full of potential.  The second year, second generation NBA athlete has been selected to participate as a member of the U.S Men's National Select Team.  Hardaway Jr. Will spend the remainder of his summer practicing against some of the best talent the NBA has to offer.

Hardaway Jr. could be the the brightest part of the Knicks future.  In recent years Iman Shumpert has been heralded as the next great player to represent the Knicks organization.  Shumpert has shown signs, but has yet to meet the high expectations thrust upon him.  Hardaway JR. on the other hand has been a pleasant surprise since joining he Knicks.  He was arguably the Knicks best player last season outside of Carmelo Anthony.

Hopefully this experience will bode well for the Knicks second year guard.  If he plays well, he should enter the season with his confidence sky high.  Carmelo can use all the help he can get.  The Knicks are implementing an entirely new system next year. A Knock down shooter can find a great deal of success in the triangle offense.  Hardaway JR. shot 35 % from three-point range during his rookie season.  That number should increase next season.  The younger Hardaway is a gym rat in the same manner as his father.

The best thing about this kid is the fact that he is his own man.  His father boasted one of the best cross-over moves in league history.  Yet, Hardaway JR doesn't approach the game trying to recreate his father's magic.  He doesn't mind being coached either.  Mike Woodson taught him core values as a rookie he can take with him for the duration of his NBA career.

Tim Hardaway JR. is a huge part of the Knicks future.  Congratulations on making the U.S select team.  This should be the first of a long list of achievements.
