Bulls add veteran guard

The Chicago Bulls have added depth to their backcourt by signing veteran Point Guard Aaron Brooks.  Despite missing out on signing Carmelo Anthony, the Bulls have still been active on the free agent market.  This current Bulls team is under pressure to win right now.  Every year Tom Thibodeau is rumored in head coaching vacancies.  You can't help but to think he will eventually take the bait.

Brooks has averaged 11.1 points and 3.4 assist per game during his nine year career.  Most of his success came during his time as a member of the Houston Rockets.  He averaged a career high 19.6 points per game for Houston in 2010.  He started all 82 games while leading the Rockets to the second round before bowing out  the eventual champion Los Angeles Lakers.

In a wide open Eastern Conference bulking up at the Point Guard position could prove pivotal for the Bulls come playoff time.  Derrick Rose is expected to be back at 100 %.  However, with a history of injuries Brooks May find himself playing important minutes come next season.

Aaron Brooks is a capable player that has experienced success on the the NBA level.  His addition makes the Bulls a better team.
