Napier vs Wilbekin FINAL FOUR

Shabazz Napier and Scott Wilbekin are two of the best guards in college basketball.  Their match-up may very well determine the winner of Florida and Connecticut's Final Four meeting.

Senior leadership is an important quality in the college game.  Napier and Wilbekin alike have been intricate parts of their respective programs for four years.  Billy Donovan and Kevin Ollie both played the Point-Guard position in the NBA.  Neither team is coming into this game short on experience.

Napier was a freshman on UConn's last NCAA Championship team.  Kemba Walker was the heart and soul of that team during their improbable run.  Napier has done the same for his team in route to the Final Four.

Wilbekin is the better defender of the two.  Expect him to guard Napier when the two are on the floor together.  Napier may guard Wilbekin in spurts, but UConn will probably be better suited letting him preserve his energy.

Napier has the advantage on the offensive end.  He has the potential to go on quick scoring binges.  The good thing about Napier is the fact that he never strays too far away from his duties as a floor general.

Wilbekin and Napier both have had excellent college careers.  This will be the last time one of these competitors will suit up as an amateur.  All good things must come to an end.  In this case a trip to the NCAA title game is at stake.

  1. Should be a good one, I wonder if Billy Donovan will throw different looks at Napier.
