Anthony Davis

Anthony Davis is on his way to becoming the best big in the NBA.  The third - year star out of Kentucky has developed at a faster rate than most insiders predicted.  Davis averaged 20.8 points, 2.8 blocks and 10 rebounds per game last season.  He is truly the last of a dying breed.

Davis is a dominant performer on both sides of the ball.  That type of production on this level is cherished by general managers and coaches.  The one knock on Davis going forward is his durability.  He's missed 33 games during his first two years in the NBA.

Hopefully as Davis gains more experience in the league he will learn to manage his body. Davis is Still getting used to his height.  He grew eight inches over one summer in high school.  Davis was initially recruited as a guard.  Maybe that explains his versatility on the defensive end.  Davis has no problem chasing down guards after getting caught in a pick and roll situation.

Davis has gotten off to a splendid start to this season.  He's posted averages of 23.8 points, 13.3 rebounds, 4 blocks, 1.8 steals and 1.8 assists.  If he stays on this path Davis will win the MVP award this season.  LeBron James is getting acclimated to a new team in Cleveland.  Kevin Durant is currently nursing a broken foot.  This could be a special year for Anthony Davis.
