Suarez strikes again!

Luis Suarez has been caught with his hands in the cookie jar once again.  The Uruguayan footballer apparently bit a chunk out of the left shoulder of Italian defenseman Giorgio Chiellini.

The 2014 World Cup has had a myriad of issues that have been overshadowed by the excitement of excellent futbol.  The issue is now under investigation by FIFA officials.  Uruguay sealed their spot in the round of 16 with a corner just minutes after the altercation.

Italy has won this tournament on four separate occasions.  It is truly a shame that a historical victory of this magnitude must be overshadowed by such egregious behavior.

This is the third occasion in which Suarez has bitten an opponent.  He received a seven match suspension for viciously biting Chelsea defenseman Branislav Ivanovic.  FIFA needs to send a loud and clear message to Suarez.  This type of behavior is unacceptable.

Suarez is one of the most talented players in the tournament.  His World Cup is likely over.  Representing your country in the World Cup is an honor.  Suarez should not be allowed to compete for his national club again until he can prove he deserves that honor.
